The British Museum has accepted with gratitude a donation by The Ramses Wissa Wassef Exhibition Trust of a large tapestry "The Banks of the Nile" by Sayed Mahmoud. It will form part of the collections of the department of Africa, Oceania and the Americas. It is hoped that it will be on display in the Sainsbury Galleries in the early part of 2010. It will also be possible to view the tapestry by appointment at the British Museum Textile Centre at Blythe House
