NATURE IN ART TRUST EXHIBITION

 

The exhibition "Egyptian Landscapes" which opened at "Nature in Art Trust", Wallsworth Hall, Twigworth, Gloucester on Tuesday, 11th July was a great success.Visitors flocked from far and wide to see these beautiful new tapestries created by the Ramses Wissa Wassef Art Centre weavers.

On Saturday, 11th July a formal opening took place at Wallsworth Hall in the presence of very many guests. Dr Jennifer Harris, Deputy Director and Senior Curator of Textiles at The Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester and Helen Wolfe, Textile Collection Manager, Department of Africa, Oceania and the Americas at The British Museum each accepted a donation of a large tapestry from the Ramses Wissa Wassef Exhibition Trust. Suzanne Wissa Wassef and her husband Ikram Nosshi, director of The Ramses Wissa Wassef Art Centre were present and the lecture given by Ikram on 14th July was a sell-out.
